A pupil who has been absent for more than two or three days at a time due to illness is expected to bring a doctor’s certificate before returning to school.
Students who are late more than three times a month may be sent home to call the parents.
On return to the school, an absentee must produce his parent’s written explanation for his/her absence. Failure to do so may result in the student being sent home in which case the school disclaims all responsibilities.
Students leaving the premises of the school in the course of the day will have to take the written permission from the principal. Repeated defaulters are subject to disciplinary measures.
No leave of absence is granted except for serious reason and only on previous written application of the parents or guardians a brief note of which is also made in the leave record page of the calendar. Requests for leave written on loose sheets of paper may not be granted.
If a pupil is likely to be absent through illness for more than a week, the Principal must be informed within the week.
